Call to OrderNestled along Mamalahoa Highway in Holualoa, Komo Coffee has been cultivating the finest 100% Kona beans for over a century. Our family farm sits in the heart of the Kona Coffee Belt, where volcanic soil, gentle rain, and warm Pacific sun create conditions found nowhere else on earth.
What Makes Us Different
Rich, mineral-dense soil from Hualalai volcano gives our beans a complexity that can't be replicated anywhere else in the world.
Every cherry is hand-picked at peak ripeness. No machines, no shortcuts. Just patience and four generations of knowledge.
We roast in small batches to bring out each harvest's unique character. Quality you can taste, from our family to yours.
Our Coffee
100% Kona · 1 lb Bag
Our signature estate-grown Kona coffee. Roasted on-site, hand-picked from our Holualoa farm. The same quality the Komo family has delivered since 1911.
Hand Picked · Sun Dried
Every bean starts as a cherry on our trees, hand-picked at peak ripeness, sun-dried on traditional hoshidanas, and roasted in small batches on the farm.
Holualoa, Big Island
Unlike "Kona blends" that contain as little as 10% Kona beans, every bag of Komo Coffee is 100% estate-grown on our family farm. Authentic Kona, guaranteed.
The Kona Coffee Belt
The Kona Coffee Belt is a narrow strip along the western coast of Hawaii's Big Island, stretching just 30 miles long and 2 miles wide. This micro-climate, with its volcanic soil, afternoon cloud cover, and mild nights, produces some of the most sought-after coffee on the planet. Less than 1% of the world's coffee comes from Kona.
Komo Estate Coffee
100% Kona. Farm-fresh. Hand-picked and roasted with aloha.

Our Story
Over a century of growing the finest Kona coffee on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Our Journey
The family begins cultivating coffee on the slopes of Hualalai along Mamalahoa Highway in Holualoa, planting their first Kona coffee trees in the rich volcanic soil.
Hirosuke Mutsunobu opens a general merchandise store at the farm's location, serving the Holualoa community with groceries, produce, gasoline, hardware, and clothing.
When Hirosuke returns to Japan, his nephew Kakuro Komo takes over both the store and coffee operation. The K. Komo Store becomes a Holualoa landmark, with the family living on the second floor.
After Kakuro's passing, son Kenneth Komo and wife Mutsumi carry the family business forward, continuing both the store and coffee production.
Over a century later, Komo Estate Coffee remains family-owned, hand-harvested, and rooted in the same Holualoa soil. The store building still stands on Mamalahoa Highway, a testament to a family that built something worth preserving.
